ABYSS is a mysterious creature coming from the depths of the world. Inspired by bioluminescent animals living in the deep ocean, ABYSS raises awareness on the beauty and the fragility of the undersea world. Its delicate structure is formed by 4 grand arcs connected in a meticulous network of cables. Anchored by concrete ballast, the entire installation is held in a state of balance. Light and sound travel through the massive skeleton, giving life to the strange entity. You can connect with ABYSS through the interface at its core, provoking unpredictable reactions of the creature

Within ABYSS, the spectator is immediately introduced to an unsettling universe. Lights and uncluttered structure are made of four main lines connected by means of a dense cable network. The entire installation (22m by 15m and 7m high) moves continuously as it is powered by a strong wish for freedom. The light and the sound travel through the metallic skeleton, and they give life to this strange entity.
In Module, Nicolas Paolozzi uses architecture at a large scale, and he views space as a set of interactions which evolve throughout time. Module offers a unique and immersive experience of reality by means of the design of hybrid architecture which brings together tangible and intangible materials.
