A digital case for a unique selection of some 40 emblematic porcelain pieces from its collections, presented for the first time in a 3D universe.

Finesse, transparency, whiteness, form, technical virtuosity, symbolic motifs, reminiscences of the past, subtle details tirelessly admired... The material is at the very heart of the design of the virtual scenography. Porcelain is felt in all aspects of the visit, from the texture of the supports, to the soft luminosity illuminating the space, to the translucence of the labels.

The journey begins with the emblematic Khmer room reproduced identically. As in a museum outing, the visitor can wander freely through the exhibition and stop on the works of his choice or if he wishes be guided by an audio tour presenting the pieces of the exhibition.

Forget the showcases and barriers, the visitor enjoys an unprecedented proximity with the works of art that he can manipulate in 360 degrees and admire the reflection of light on the surfaces, obtained through a precise photogrammetry (digitization technique from a multitude of high definition photos).

Rain, wind, snow, also materialize before his eyes, the visitor experiences the new era of virtual tours. Thanks to the use of 3D in real time, the luminosity changes according to the time of day, the sound is spatialized and the Parisian weather is displayed on the windows of the exhibition room.

The immersion continues with a flowerbed sprouting from the ground, a landscape of the plains of China and a mystical temple where a dragon prowls, these are 3 fantastic, original scenes, entirely designed by Socle and its art+spaces department, which come to life as the visitor passes. Inspired by the decorations of the works, they offer a visualization of the aesthetics of the porcelains and the possibility of entering their universe.
