Available in several languages (french/english/spanish), the new hybrid and playful creation by La Vaste Entreprise, La Fondation du Rien, is a “rich program of canceled activities”: its website offers you a large catalog of activities, to which you can register in complete confidence, since they will be ultimately canceled – allowing you, instead, to finally enjoy an unexpected and delightfull chunk of free time.
So all you have to do is register: you will receive your pdf ticket, then when the day comes, an email announcing the cancellation of your activity.
Then it's up to you: you're free to do whatever you want with this graciously generated chunk of time.
You can then write to the Foundation to tell about your experience: your testimony will then be part of the piece – whether you brilliantly managed to do nothing or whether your attempt to take advantage of this moment which was offered to you was ended in dismal failure.
Diverting the vocabulary of marketing to tickle a little our difficulty in dealing with the permanent overflow of various injunctions, the Foundation deploys a writing style of the “surprise bag”, in the form of multiple tools/performances: promotional stands in public spaces, leafleting campaigns, emails to “evaluate your customer experience” or to “refer a friend”, hotline, conference performed by its author, etc.
