La Patate Chaude operates between the plant world (potato) and the digital world (blockchain, NFT and NFC chip). It provides an understanding of the new paradigms of blockchain, NFT and digital wallets.
It also offers a tangible representation and experience of what it means to own a work of digital creation, in the form of an NFT.

La Patate Chaude's installation also reinterprets the “Proof of Work” figure involved in the certification process in a blockchain, inviting the public to make an effort.

Installation description:
Among a pile of potatoes lies “La Patate Chaude”, the only potato to contain an original NFT artwork, commissioned from an artist.
The others don't contain any works, but they do give you the chance to become the proud owner of a ready-to-use digital wallet to start a collection of NFT artworks.

Access to the 12-word secret phrase
All the potatoes -potato-wallet- contain the key to a digital wallet, thanks to an NFC sticker containing the 12 words of the secret phrase.
By winning one of the potatoes, the participant discovers the 12 words that open the door to a Metamask (Ethereum) or Temple (Tezos) wallet.
