This immersive show is divided into three parts and requires the active participation of the public in an exercise in reconstructing memories in a forensic setting.
On stage, an actor will find himself crossed by the memories, sometimes incomplete or even contradictory, of various witnesses considered as potentially suspicious.
Thirty lucid witnesses will follow the experience from the outside guided by a coryphean actor, who will embody the guinea pig of an investigation by injections of memories.
The twenty other spectators immersed in VR will form a choir, guided in a process of memory manipulation in order to have access, just like the actor on stage, to the memories of the various suspects.
Through a subtle game of intercontamination between the inner worlds of the hero and the outside of the stage, the show seeks to blur the lines between virtual and real.
We seek to bring these psychic states to life and feel in close proximity: as close as possible to the retina, as close as possible to the eardrum, at the thresholds of perception and cognition, or understanding, by playing on contrasts, from whispering to the hollow of the listen to the irruption of theatrical scenes such as reconstructions, or "possessions"...
Also through the presence of ice and snow on stage, wind, cold, this psychological thriller can take the form of a multi-sensory and multimedia journey on stage.
The issue of mental manipulation is very present in the work, the brainwashing is also very explicit.
The alignment of about twenty spectators in “memory chemo” under VR, will offer the group of spectators “Lucid Witnesses”, an image of guinea pigs under the influence, in whom we would like to provoke reactions and controlled group movements.
The group of “Lucid Witnesses” asked to contribute to the investigation, will realize over the course of the performance that their “responsibility” is not exactly where they thought they were endorsing it.
