LILITH.AEON
An interactive immersive experience, between extended reality (XR), dance and artificial intelligence (AI).
Drawing its source from the experience of personal bereavements and inspired by the true story of the youngest cryogenized person, the immersive and interactive installation LILITH.AEON questions the future of humanity in the age of transhumanism and artificial intelligence.
This 60 minutes experience, which unfolds on the walls of a monumental LED cube, invites us to follow the life cycles of Lilith, a virtual being, a reincarnation both digital and poetic, a soul trapped in limbo, suspended between death and a future awakening.
The public wander around the work in progress, the latter comes to life through the encounter and interaction between the movements of the spectators and the AI's choreographic responses, in a dance where human and machine interact, in a performative ballet that is always new.
Through this visceral experience LILITH.AEON stages the new relationships we have with technology, particularly in the face of the prospect of transcending biological mortality.
In the words of the creators
‘Started back in 2017 after the premiere of WHIST, where we explored with a Virtual Reality technology we first encountered a barrier in blurring the boundary between the real and digital as wearing the headset was not organic. This set us a challenge to research how we could seamlessly merge the virtual and the real while eliminating the need for wearable screens. At the same time, we both lost our dear family members and this made us choose to explore, “Life”, “Death”, the meaning of it, and why we live today.
