The Little Gleaner of Sounds is a poetic sound fiction designed for children, as well as older audiences, to explore various fundamentals of sound: sound ecology, sensitive phonography, soundscapes, and acousmatic music (the transformation of concrete sounds to reveal their musical potential).

In this ecological tale, a young girl named Irma faces the disappearance of her sound ecosystem when it comes into contact with the industrial world. Together with her grandfather Nonno, she devises a plan to bring the fragile sounds of her world back to life.

The Little Gleaner of Sounds is presented here in a quadraphonic concert format, with four speakers surrounding the audience.
