Skylark is a subtle visual game of pure geometry, psychedelia, minimalism, and optical art, based on geometric patterns, moiré effects, and movements. A narrative about confinement is developed, positioning the viewer from the perspective of a butterfly. Its visual field narrows as the form reaches vertiginous heights, leading to the sensation of escaping the multiple oppressive tunnels.
A surrounding soundtrack composed of ethereal electronic sounds works in close collaboration with the video material in terms of synchronicity, structure, and synesthesia.

“This movie shows that very often only simple, clear, minimalist means of expression can also be innovative and can have a strong visual impact on viewers. It also shows that black and white colors may be enough to create emotions [...] and geometric squares can work very well in the fulldome format.”
Paulina Majda, jury member of the 12th Fulldome Festival.
Skylark is an immersive short film for dome and planetarium.
