At a time when gender boundaries are becoming increasingly blurred, and because no vocation should be inaccessible, the STEREO★TYPES collection presents ten stories of young people who have decided to break with convention, put up with mockery and injustice and overcome prejudice to pursue their dream job. Atypical backgrounds, advice on how to open up new avenues and inspire people to take up so-called "gendered" professions (from airline pilot to midwife, manicurist or tiler) - each protagonist will share their passion and talent for their profession, despite the stereotypes.

The goal of the series is to provide new role models for young people, regardless of their gender. As children or teenagers, everyone believes they are free to choose the profession they like, but in reality, and from birth, things are skewed. Too often, through familial and societal discourse, school, books, and games, minds are shaped. Even if a young girl plays a musical instrument, she will struggle to envision herself in a career as a conductor, because there are still too few women in this role for them to be truly visible to the general (and especially young) public. A boy, even if he is good with people, will not naturally gravitate toward caregiving professions, as he has always seen only women in those roles. Statistics show that professional diversity is still far from being achieved – stereotypes, shaped by a long history, are hard to overcome.
Each episode focuses on an individual’s journey. The five minutes are driven by the narrative, both on and off-screen, of a protagonist who discusses their life and career choice, shares their journey to achieve their dreams, recounts the obstacles, and offers advice.
Camera-facing testimonials are followed by sequences on the workplace, filmed by the protagonists with their smartphones – images that some also create to update their social media profiles. This provides a raw immersion into each person’s daily life, where the protagonists become filmmakers and show their reality – sometimes more colorful, dressed with filters, always close to their actions and their desire for self-representation.
The protagonists are young and speak candidly and openly, without positioning themselves as lecturers. They share their stories with a tone of confidentiality and humor.
