Judith Guez is an artist-researcher, curator, developer and designer of VR/MR experiences.
For over 10 years, her research focuses on understanding and creating illusions between the real and the virtual to explore new artistic forms, mobilizing the concept of presence and wonder.
She has a trandisciplinary academic background between art (Paris 1, Digital Art and Virtual Reality at Paris 8), science and technology (Paris 6 Robotics and AI), and teaches in several schools and universities including Science Po Paris: virtual and mixed reality, experience design, exhibition curating, and digital art history.
She has exhibited many artworks (La chambre de Kristoffer, Lab’Surd, InterACTE, Liber, Rock Art Rocks me, etc.) in several international venues (Ars Electronica in Austria, Gaîté Lyrique, GoogleLab, BPI Centre Pompidou, Centre des arts Enghien, MOCA Taipei in Taiwan, VR World Forum in Switzerland, etc.). She is one of the co-founders of the VRAC (VR Art Collective).
Judith is currently the founder and director of the artistic departement at Laval Virtual. In this context, she has created in 2018 the international Art&VR festival Recto VRso at Laval Virtual. April 2018 - Real Matter | Virtual Matter - 7 exhibitions in Laval with 38 artworks from 67 international artists. // March 2019 : Real Illusion | Virtual illusion - 7 exhibitions in Laval with 60 artworks from 100 artists. // April 2020 - Virtual edition : Real Body | Virtual Body - An interactive virtual Art&VR Gallery - 16 artworks -17 speakers (in the Laval Virtual World) - 7000 visitors .
