2019

Mini Chefs is a food, electronic and digital festival dedicated to young audiences and their families.

Video games in your dinner plate, kitchen utensils hijacks, edible tattoos, burn your voice on a chocolate vinyl record, chromatic cookery, silk screen on pancakes, culinary design, molecular cuisine… Mini Chefs shines a light on kids by offering activities as delicious as they are crazy, around the theme of food.

Here we sensitize, create, and educate, with fun!

Creative workshops + delicious and Joyful experiences on connected artistic installations

Families and kids’ activities led by artists or participants specialized in both the domain of food and electronics!

• Open access to the public for playing on food & electronic art installations like indie video games, edible tattoos and graffities, silk screening on pancakes, a new machine for writing your voice on a chocolate vinyl record.
• Electronic kitchen’s utensils and unusual sound devices to play music and discover physical phenomena.
• Video games in your meal plate thanks to Papertronics system who recognize colors and forms. You can pimp your pancake or your meal and transform them into a 2 players video game.
• Cookery workshops sessions named “Chromatic cookery” based on the different colors of basic food are organized to raise awareness around kids’ nutrition and health and to highlight that it is the same as being responsible for the Planet. Eating lovely food is good eating!
• The results of these creations take the form of a closing banquet where kids invite their parents and families to taste their activities and creations.

“Mini Chefs” can be organized under different formats and contents according to the places or events where it will be attached.

It’s a made to measure program which give priority to partnerships with different players in this sector: institutions, starts ups, venues, festivals…

“Mini Chefs” can be part of “Novembre Numerique” the month of digital cultures or during festivals with kids and families’ programs.

It can also be part of the French gastronomy festival “Goût de France” who celebrates France’s culinary heritage in France and abroad. A major component of our culture.

This program has two phases:
1/ A creation workshop to build the different installations with artists and students (art schools and culinary schools)
2/ An opening to the public (2 or 3 days): approx. 50 children x 2 sessions a day / 4 artists + 8 to 10 students for mediation.
