Z United is the first French soccer webtoon that already has nearly 500,000 views and over 16,000 subscribers. After the success of the first season in 2021, a second season has been ordered in 2022 and is currently being produced by MAKMA. Before becoming a digital webcomic, Z United was a French manga that had broken the sales record of its publisher Kotoji.

Initially a manga trilogy published from 2015 to 2019, Z United has been completely redesigned, relettered and recolored in 2021 for a version adapted to vertical reading on smartphones, via the Printoonize process developed by MAKMA. This method allows a remarkably effective adaptation of the very dynamic and visual storytelling of manga to bring it to the vertical readability specific to the Korean webtoon format.
