Deus Ex Mimo is an interactive show where you, the audience, decide the story that unfolds before your eyes by choosing the events of the story live! Based on your answers to the question at the end of the video, you can influence the course of the story! The duo of characters François I and Leonardo da Vinci will thus evolve in a whimsical and dynamic adventure according to your will! And there are dozens of possible combinations!

This creation was made for the Vagabondages(e)s Festival in 2021, which called upon the Compagnie Discrète to offer an artistic gesture blending the inhabitants of the Loir-et-Cher department (41) and digital technology. Due to the health crisis that occurred during the 2019/2020 season, the company and the organizers decided to offer a first digital version available on the YouTube platform, accessible for free. You can participate in the experience further down this page. This show is also available on stage, with choices being made using red or yellow brushes.

Our artistic language is contemporary gesture theater, mixing references to Tex Avery cartoons, the cinema of Charlie Chaplin and Buster Keaton, the humor of Michel Courtemanche, and the technique of Marcel Marceau... We trust in everyone's imagination, thus creating works accessible to all ages, as well as to the hearing impaired and/or non-French speakers.
