LES FILMS DU TAMBOUR DE SOIE regularly work in collaboration with National French Museums (the Louvre, the Orsay Museum, the Georges Pompidou Centre) and produce every year between eight and ten hours of programmes for French broadcasters (ARTE France, France 5 and France 3) and foreign channels (RTBF in Belgium, Sveriges Television in Sweden, TSR in Switzerland, NRK in Norway and YLE in Finland).
Today our catalogue contains more than two hundred films distributed by Doc&Co, Andana Films, Terranoa, France Télévisions Distribution and Arte Distribution.
More than ever, we are exploring new forms of filmmaking, with stop motion feature films, Virtual Reality tours, and webseries.
In 2012, Les Films du Tambour de Soie was named Best French Documentary Producer by the PROCIREP.
In 2013, our film Jasmine by Alain Ughetto was selected for the Best European Animated Film at the European Film Awards.
In 2014, we were awarded the FIGRA Jury Special Prize for “L’Ecole en Bateau,” a film by Laurent Esnault and Réjane Varrot, produced by Nicole Levigne.
In 2016, the SCAM Star was awarded to “Concrete Stories”, produced by Muriel Sorbo.
In 2018, our production A thousand girls like me, by Sahra Mani was selected in prestigious festivals, like IDFA, Sheffield, Hot docs and won many prices...
In 2020 we got two new Scam stars, for L'homme qui a mangé la terre and Good bye Jerusalem
