Encouraging the sharing of artistic practices between residents, POUSH creates a network of artists, curators and academics, providing wide-ranging opportunities for exhibitions and discussions. Its breathtaking exhibition spaces, including a hall spanning almost 2,000sqm, are energizing and inspiring. As an evolving project, POUSH is open to new artistic practices, beyond the visual arts, such as dance and performance with Studio K or a space dedicated to sound art. POUSH also hosts the bureau des penseur.euse.s ("Thinkers' Office"), which welcomes eight curators, art critics and journalists with the aim of enhancing artistic theory, questioning emerging artistic movements and integrating POUSH into the world of research.
An urban signal that resonates throughout Greater Paris, POUSH is also a creative sounding board that broadcasts on web radio via Radio POUSH, founded by artist Jack Rothert Garcia. 24h/24 live and guided by a demanding editorial line, the programme alternates the best of contemporary music with programmes mixing portraits of artists interviewed by art critic Anaël Pigeat, discussions between artists or even readings and poetry. This creative bubbling meet up at the Bodega, a place for festive life, food, exchanges, debates and exhibitions. In residence at POUSH, the chef Marouane Dekaoui offers the artists lunches highlighting the seasonality of the products.
Firmly established within the Greater Paris region, this iconic venue in Aubervilliers aims to contribute to local development and expand the influence of the French cultural scene by providing international collaborations.
