Ex Aequo! is a series of hybrid films offering a demanding and creative vision. These ten dynamic stories are based on interviews with international athletes, archives, and animation.
These short 10-minute formats are the kind of films that touch all audiences, that won't let anybody indifferent and that, little by little, change the way we look at the world. If these stories use various types of images (live, animation, archives), it is the unique personality of each athlete that guides these portraits by capturing the emotion of the viewer. The notions addressed, such as the connection between social and athletic struggles, between athletic and human performance, do not give rise to a theoretical analysis. It is a sensitive look at these fascinating, striking and ultimately necessary human trajectories.
