Mardi8 has began an animated series based on La Fontaine's tales. Tales of the emblematic author are revisited by Patrick Bleuzen - a passionate writer who explores the world of insects and ethnoentomology; and Hugo Ramirez - artistic director and animator. They are working together in order to re-interpret the poems in an original and contemporary way. The episode entitled The Grasshopper, The Ant and The Covid was aired on social networks on July 8th, 2021, on the 400th anniversary of Jean de La Fontaine's birth. Visually, our illustrator works with archives videos, which he then re-draws and animates, creating something visually dynamic, a bit satirical, staggered and playful.
