Since February 2024, visitors to Mont-Saint-Michel Abbey and the Château de Vincennes have been able to explore the monuments using a tablet equipped with a headset. As early as 2020, the Palais Garnier will be offering visitors an augmented reality experience to explain the history of this Haussmanian Paris landmark and, above all, to show them inaccessible areas (central costumes, foyer de la danse, etc.).
Simply hold the tablet in your hands and you'll be transported back in time or behind the scenes of the monuments.
Working closely with Art Graphique & Patrimoine and the Centre des Monuments Nationaux, the 3D and 360° historical reconstructions have been subjected to in-depth scrutiny and approved by a scientific committee. The aim is to show the sites as they were in their day, but also to offer never-before-seen scenes of life. At the abbey, a meal from the time of the Benedictine monks has been recreated, while at Vincennes, the tablet shows Emperor Charles IV meeting King Charles V.
However, the Revelacio tablet does not neglect the sound aspect. The experience is also enhanced by the voice, the common thread running through the story, and a tailor-made sound and music package.
So if you feel like exploring time, don't look any further for the famous "machine" - just walk through the doors of these monuments!
