Seconde Nature is a cine-choreographic quartet. Fabrice Lambert's aim is to raise awareness of our relationship with our environments, question the way we treat Nature, and interrogate contradictory notions such as immutability versus changeability, calm versus brutality, and infinity versus finiteness. Philippe Gladieux's lighting creates a visual universe that resonates with the astonishing projections of director and visual artist Jacques Perconte. Premiered in 2020 at Théâtre de la Ville - Paris.

"I’m going to produce a choreographic score based on landscapes filmed by Jacques Perconte transformed using digital techniques. In turn, he’ll “remix” his films live based on the movement and of dancers following a choreographic score, thus creating a perception-action loop. The impact of the transformations of these two media—dance and filmed landscapes—is seen as a metaphor of the relationship between human beings and their environment.
My meeting with Jacques Perconte, and his work of remarkable proportions, has led me to dream up this project. Through the work of Jacques Perconte, I am rediscovering fauvism. The landscapes of fauvist painters, their rhythm, and the singularity of the personalities that emerge from them, help reveal our relationship to nature.
With Second Nature, I will seek to put into perspective and explore contradictory notions like the immutable vs. the changing, calm vs. brutality, and infinity vs. the finite. In our art, we both share a similar experience of setting materials into motion, at varying speeds, principles that make the invisible visible, and are at the sources of our inspiration."
