In the Spring of 2021, Novelab created 6 virtual reality experiences for a territory located in the South of France. Linked together by a narrative thread, these interactive experiences compliment the permanent exhibitions of 6 touristic sites of the territory. Thanks to them, the visitor dives into a series of travels in the past, an expedition to discover the cultural heritage of the Pays de Comminges.

The slight mad scientist Eugénie Lagarde is calling for help: it seems that the Dimensional Alternator with Muonic Acceleration (DAMA) is going rogue. In order to find the lost device, the visitor pushes the trigger lever situated in her lab and gets sucked in a time vortex that propels them to the main heritage sites of the Comminges territory in the South of France.
The visitor lands in a prehistoric cave near Aurignac. While they wait for Eugenie to send them back to their times, they paint animal and human shapes on the walls of the cave. He thus imitates the cave art and the footprints of the first men.
The visitor is led into the kitchen of the Villa Lassalles. The room has several points of interest that inform the user about the dishes, flavors and utensils used in the Gallo-Roman era.
The player finds themselves in front of the Collegiate Church of Saint Peter in Saint Gaudens in the Middle Ages. Standing on a platform among the troubadours, he follows the indicated choreography.
Teleported to the laboratory of the Domaine de Valmirande in the industrial era, the visitor helps an inventor to repair his brand new steam engine on the eve of the World Fair.
As a refugee in a hideout of the Maquis of Meilhan during the Second World War, the user discovers the way of life, the equipment and the clandestinity
of the French Resistance.
Propelled into a dark garage of the Circuit automobile du Comminges, the player dismantles the engine of a Bugatti T35C and finds the DAMA!
For this project, produced for the Office de Tourisme Cœur et Coteaux du Comminges, Novelab was in charge of:
