For British Airways 100th anniversary Novelab created an interactive virtual reality experience that links the history of aviation with the current & future states of technology. Visitors can fly over the main stages of the air conquest by men. From Leonardo da Vinci’s ornithopter to the airplane of the future, including the Wright brothers’ Flyer (the first controlled flight in History, in 1903), the Concorde or the A350, no step of this conquest is left aside.

Fly was developed for the 100th anniversary of British Airways. To celebrate this milestone, the company organised a full exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery. For this exhibition, a haptic platform was developed so that users would discover the VR experience on a moving platform, in order to simulate a true flight experience. With a VR headset, the users are at the helm of the different aeroplanes and interact with the cockpit and the passengers before taking off.
This VR experience was directed by the British Director Charlotte Mikkelborg, developed and produced by Novelab for the hundredth anniversary of British Airways.
