When light becomes a subject, what does it illuminate? The light itself? Impossible. Can it exist? Can it only exist without support? From then on, how to make existing what cannot be seen ?
Point Zéro
Find out more
Point Zero is a representation, an interpretation of light as a subject, coming to life in front of us. Here, the support is at its service and not the opposite. It reverses the order of perceptions and disrupts the habits.
Point Zero is composed of 56 LED tubes fixed on metal wires having the same vanishing point: the center of the installation.
They are distributed in the space on 3 dimensional planes allowing a distortion of its image according to the angle of view, thus playing with the perception of the public. The deliberately minimalist structure, limited to the essential, leaves all the place to the luminous "features" and gives the impression that they float in
the air. A 5-minute program on a soundtrack gives life to the installation and reinforces the notion of visual illusion.
Point Zero is an installation that can be presented indoors or outdoors. The minimum surface is 15x15m, the installation requiring to be able to turn around and to take a little distance. It is important to remove the maximum of light pollution around.
