A naturalist sculpture made of paper-mâché allows the visitor to discover an immersed riverbank from every angle. Associated to an augmented reality device, the sculpture comes alive through the screen of a tablet computer and reveals the different cycles and chemical phenomenons occurring throughout the seasons, revealing a whole ecosystem essential for biodiversity.
Immersion
Find out more
Immersion is an AR experience composed of 2 sculptures, a small « traveler » module and a monumental sculpture. The sculptures can work together or separately. The AR application (usable on iPad) has been designed to work on the 2 sculpted works.
The traveler module is installed and used by the CEN PACA in its educational and awareness-raising activities about wetlands. It can be seen in the permanent tour of the Ecomuseum of the Crau and during presentations by the mediators of the CEN PACA.
The monumental sculpture will be ready for its first exhibition in September 2021 during the World Conservation Congress of the IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature). After the Congress, the monumental sculpture will continue its journey through the cultural venues and exhibitions that will host it. The objective is to discover the richness of wetlands in a playful and artistic way.
