The company develops its hybrid research in two main directions:
Choreographic works in augmented reality
These works are based on an imaginary relationship with the landscape: the places "contain" dances. Dancers inhabit these spaces, existing in a dimension invisible to the naked eye. They are there, waiting for someone to reveal them. This danced dimension of the site becomes accessible through the smartphone, which once again serves as a tool for mediation and exploration of reality—a window onto the world rather than a closed universe. These works explore the relationship between the visible and the invisible, between physical and immaterial bodies.
Whether they are designed as installations for various locations or as site-specific pieces, these works are presented in two complementary formats:
- an augmented reality installation, accessible permanently (for a period defined with the venues);
- a performance of superimposed realities, merging the physical presence of live performers with the immaterial bodies of augmented reality dancers.
The company also emphasizes long-term creative processes, deeply rooted in a specific area, in collaboration with local stakeholders, residents, and authorities. It has developed a protocol for creating participatory choreographic tours in augmented reality, allowing audiences to discover the danced history of a place, a district, or a park. These creations are inspired by both the site’s history and the personal stories of its inhabitants, who also act as dancing guides for these immaterial dance journeys.
For its augmented reality projects, the company uses the Revy application developed by its partner, Reveality.
Stage performances
These are hybrid performances where the dancers' bodies interact with a real-time motion capture system. These works question our relationship with technology, focusing particularly on the potential interactions between human dancers and an artificial intelligence system, as well as the contrasts between the rhythms of the human body and the timelines of technology.
