Darjeeling is multi-award winning production company based in Paris, France, founded in 2009 by Marc Lustigman & Noam Roubah. Our projects are guided by the sensibilities of the authors and directors we choose to collaborate with, along with a desire to question the world around us, and the times that we live in, in an original way. Productions are guided by a sense of independence and creativity in both content and style. This ethos runs counter to the idea of producing standardised format. Our flexible structure allows us also to produce in a wide variety of programs: original documentaries, animated films, video games, series and webseries. Over time, this approach has allowed our company to gain solid experience working with new, evolving genres and means of distribution.

Darjeeling is a Paris based production company specialized in new media. We collaborate with authors/creators – directors, photographers, writers-, but also with audiovisual and new media professionals – digital artists, Game designers, developpers - to create compelling stories. Darjeeling is a hybrid company, somewhere between the digital and the production studio. We think that the most innovative projects come from the encounter between the world of images and world of pixels.

A web series in the center of the Iranian youth, through the eyes of its photographers. They are under 30, live in Iran, photograph their generation on a daily basis and publish their photos on Instagram, a rare social network to be tolerated, even if it is controlled.
Over a decade, Raphael Stora, a former hip-hop dancer of the 2000’s, has carefully documented Parisian street dancers’ daily life. With this web-series, he brings us into an unknown world, too often relegated to the background of artistic disciplines but whose dynamism deserves to be known.
The web-series starts decades before the existence of the internet, when a few curious geeks started to use new technologies to socialize and create communities, most often illegally. The series traces the history of the ancestors of our social networks.
