He blends light in all its forms with enchanting sounds that project our imaginations into other worlds. Lighting director of a concert hall from 1998 to 2021, light has always been a form of expression for him. At exhibitions, concerts and festivals, the lighting designer experiments with this immaterial material that he tames and shapes, no longer as an added value, but as the main actor in his creations.
For his first Fête des Lumières in Lyon in 2019, the artist proposed a fascinating light show to speak of the duality between order and disorder. Order2OO has participated in the programming of several festivals. In 2021, Émilien is designing a new installation to speak of change. Named Octo, this piece has already been exhibited in Vilnius, Geneva, Lyon and in the French Alps. For his latest project, Asklipion, Emilien imagines an audiovisual and plant-based work where light and sound come from the plant.
