The Ososphere is born in Strasbourg in 1998, from the thoughts of the creators of La Laiterie, a contemporary music venue, and their desire to offer a cultural event that explores new artistic forms to activate the relationship of the inhabitants to the city and the territory.
The Ososphere has thus developed a program of actions around digital cultures which unfolds over time and in the urban space of Strasbourg: electronic nights, exhibitions, artistic journeys, screenings, concerts, sound cruises, workshops, conversations, radio .
The City Art is embodied in an artistic journey presenting works and acts, to be experienced through two invitations to conversatory surveys. The first, focused on the Laiterie district, leads you to explore its buildings, spaces and interstices according to the artistic journey that inhabits them. The second offers a series of singular “Situations”, in various places in Strasbourg, lovingly chosen to host the works that come to meet them.
This City Art which is embodied in Strasbourg challenges our City Modes, questions them, stimulates them through important sessions which deploy the "labs" of Artefact, a Media-Regard device (radio, paper editions, video -cast, editorialization in situ and social networks), the fundamental Café Conversatoire articulated around its garden, meetings, workshops and Instants de Ville. The Ososphere is concerned with its presence in the public space, in relation to those who inhabit it permanently or ephemerally. Through its programming of situations linked to each other, L'Ososphère offers a rich place-time of conversations and relationships, useful for the creation and incarnation of our common narrative.
