Ten years after Les mécaniques poétiques, Yann Nguema returns to the Champs Libres with ten works in unprecedented hybrid forms, both contemporary and poetic. Having become an international reference in the world of architectural projection, the artist explores transparent matter in PRISM. He opens up new perspectives by bringing together programming language, images, light, interaction, kinetics, sculpture and music.
PRISM uses materials to produce images. Crystal, glass, Plexiglas, resin, water, ice, smoke, silk... are all media that can augment, complement, parasitize or filter the legibility of an interactive animation.
Yann Nguema explores the physical and optical characteristics of these materials to create screen systems. These hybrid and singular supports create a new form of image.
The 10 works presented develop new forms of artistic expression, articulating programming language, media, materials, sound, light and technology, in the service of a discourse resolutely turned towards poetry.
The PRISM exhibition comprises 10 installations, 8 on a human scale and 2 in large format.
