He began his career creating visual effects for the cinema and collaborated on numerous projects for directors such as Roman Polanski, Alain Resnais or Jean-Pierre Jeunet.
At the same time he began to create plastic works in computer generated images. He develops a metadiscourse on virtual images, "the tool also becomes subject", and also works on the theme of the disappearance and replacement of reality by simulation. He also deals with current events such as in 2011 with Fiction 1 on the tsunami that hit Japan or on armed terrorist acts with 11 executions and FPS.
His second monographic exhibition Fantômes numériques took place at the Lux in 2016. There he shows for the first time his installation Ghost City, which is inspired by Lucretius' De Rerum Natura but also the video game GTA V. He was named Chevalier de l'ordre des Arts et de Lettres in 2016. In 2019 he will direct the film Clinamenfor the Paris Opera.
