Every year, the Academy of Video Game Arts and Techniques promotes the best productions and celebrates key figures in the industry with the Pégases awards. The 2021 ceremony demonstrated the vitality and quality of French creation, for example with the excellent Haven by The Game Bakers studio, best independent video game, or Ordesa by Cinétévé Expérience, awarded best mobile video game.

This year, several French creations in the sector have also won international awards.

The Webcreation awards

Awarded best short-form series at the La Rochelle fiction festival, the moving web series Patience mon amour, broadcasted on Instagram and the Arte platform, follows the daily life of a  female couple whose desire for a child leads them to embark on an IVF programme. Winner of the best AR experience at Stereopsia Europe, When She Gets Out by Lucid Realities brings children along a fantastic journey through artworks displayed in Musée d’Orsay museum.
