Benoit Bories is a craftsman and sound artist. He has produced narrative sound creations for various French and international public radio stations, while regularly broadcasting on the network of French local radio associations. His work in sound creation originally stemmed from sound documentaries. Over time, it has gradually evolved into more hybrid productions, blending elements of sound art, acousmatic composition, and field recording, all while maintaining a focus on documenting societal issues.
He teaches documentary sound creation at Phonurgia Nova and lectures at several audiovisual creation schools.
Since 2016, he has focused primarily on sound creations for live performances, installations, and hybrid live shows. He has collaborated with numerous festivals and cultural venues for his performances and regularly participates in artistic residencies abroad. His sound work has received several international prizes and awards.
