At night, strange men in yellow suits enter a botanical garden. Nature is abundant and fascinating. The site guard takes this group to the water lily pond. A young woman's inanimate body is found there. The garden hides other bodies, buried, sunk in the deep flora. Then a strange light appears from the women's bodies.

The VR film Mutatis by French artist Mali Arun explores a diffuse frontier between scientific and mythological pictures of organic and human landscapes.

Mali Arun : “Mutatis is a project that will open up a new field of experimentation for me, particularly through its artistic and technical ambition. Guided by a plastic research, this video evolves in a universe that is both mythological and science fiction. It takes the viewer into a timeless, organic, unpredictable and macabre world.”

Mutatis will be shown on VR headsets in museums and galleries, with a scenography playing with darkness, with sand on the ground and no additional lights, thus creating a mineral, organic and dark universe. The viewer will be seated in a slightly tilting back chair to let himself or herself go completely into the video experience.
